Controller Parts + Software

The controller (CON5) is the interface for most TigerStop positioners, and consists of a keypad and screen. CON5 is compatible with TigerStop, TigerFence (and SLR), TigerTurbo, TigerRack, and HeavyDuty 2. CON5 requires an Amplifier (AMP6 or AMP5) and is not compatible with older controllers or with SawGear stop gauges. The standard controller can hold up to 99 cut lists when paired with cut list downloading software. For infinite cut lists you will need the Tablet Package.

Note: The CON5 price includes a $200.00 core charge, refunded if the previous controller is returned to TigerStop within 30 days of the new shipment. CON5 orders require the serial number of the machine that will receive the electronics. Failure to use the controller with the specified serial number can result in software compatibility issues.

The keypad membrane is compatible with the Version 5 Controller (CON5) and cannot be used with older electronics.

The Controller Stand includes mounting hardware and is used for both the Standard Controller and the Tablet Package. It is compatible with TigerStop, TigerFence, TigerCrossCut, TigerRack, TigerTurbo, and HeavyDuty 2.

*Note: Tablet Packages on saw systems do not use the controller stand. They use a separate mounting hinge. Also, this item is not compatible with SawGear.

Using the TigerTouch touch screen controller, you can download an infinite number of cut lists, display three cut lists at a time for easy switching between work orders, and view statistics such as job status, remnants, remaining parts, and yield.

TigerStop's Tablet Package includes a touch screen, a protective case, control stand (SMTCS), and cabling. It also includes three types of software: TigerLink 6 Cut List Downloading (DNLD), TigerSET (SET), and Dynamic Optimization (OPT).

• The tablet package is incompatible with SawGear and with electronics older than version 5.60.
• TABLET-PKG orders require the serial number of the machine that will receive the electronics. Without the serial number this part will not ship. Email your serial number to orders@tigerstop.com

Note: If you want a tablet package for your TigerSaw 1000, TigerSaw 2000, or TigerSaw Miter, you will not need the controller stand (SMTCS). The tablet package mounts differently on saw systems using a separate mounting hinge.

Important Information About Ordering This Item:

• TigerTouch is incompatible with machines that are not already enabled for TigerTouch. Email service@tigerstop.com prior to ordering this product if you are interested in adding tablet control to an existing TigerStop machine. 

The conversion kit is a discounted bundle of version 5 electronics. Replacement of electronics that are no longer available is now possible with this upgrade path. It is always a good idea to contact TigerStop customer service to avoid surprises when considering an electronics upgrade.

• It's important to test the motor before ordering a CON5-CONV, because a damaged motor can destroy a fresh amplifier. Watch the below video to learn how to test your motor. 
• Conversion kits are incompatible with SawGear and with older TigerStops that have a yellow motor box. 
• The kit does NOT include a control stand, an I/O Panel, or a motor.

This keypad membrane is for controller versions 3.0-4.7, and is incompatible with the Version 5 Controller (CON5). Membrane dimensions are 9.25 by 5.0 inches (23.5 by 12.7 cm).

20' controller cable for the Version 4 controller. 

This 25-pin cable connects an SMT controller to an AMP2 amplifier (version 4 electronics). It is incompatible with CON5 or AMP6. SMTCC is 20 feet (6.1 m) long. 

This 15-pin cable connects a Controller (CON5) to an Amplifier (AMP6). CC5-10 is 10 feet (3.0 m) long.

This 15-pin cable connects a Controller (CON5) to an Amplifier (AMP6). CC5-20 is 20 feet (6.1 m) long. 

This 15-pin cable connects a Controller (CON5) to an Amplifier (AMP6). CC5-30 is 30 feet (9.1 m) long.  

This 15-pin cable connects a Controller (CON5) to an Amplifier (AMP6). CC5-40 is 40 feet (12.2 m) long.  

The TigerSet software upgrade opens up a communication port on your TigerStop so you can use a PC, PLC, or barcode Scanner to control your TigerStop systems.

TigerStop has extensive experience handling work orders and cut list data. Using TigerStop’s Cut List Downloading Software, TigerLink 6, you can download cut lists or part lists from your network and send them to your TigerStops using Ethernet cables. You no longer have to use messy paper cut lists.  

Using the TigerTouch touch screen controller, you can download an infinite number of cut lists that can be used for processing multiple grades and widths. You can even display three cut lists at a time for easy switching between work orders.

*Cut List Downloading software or TigerLink 6, comes with ethernet to serial converter cables (ESC).  

Dynamic Optimization software calculates the best cutting order so you have the least amount of scrap waste. The software goes through every combination of every length and quantity of material in your cut list. It will optimize up to 4,000 different cut lengths and up to 10,000 quantities of each cut length for a total of 40,000,000 different cut options. It does this in seconds. When Dynamic Optimization is used with TigerTouch tablet software, one can have an infinite and unbounded cut list.

Dynamic Optimization can be used with both the standard and TigerTouch controllers and with or without a backfence ruler.
